Our REC is a very young REC. we have seen about 20 ethical clearance request since our establishment in August last year. We have witnessed an increasing number of requests for ethical clearance from local researchers and from foreign scholars doing research in and around our region. We also give technical assistance to the regional science and technology bureau; it usually forwards health research related issues to our office.
