Main Activity

What are the organisation's main activities
PHIL takes an integrated, innovative and holistic approach that will bring about the much-desired value added to the health care system of Liberia. Many of PHIL programs are designed to integrate modern technology for real time data collection that ensure efficient decision making to enhance health care services and improve health policies for all Liberians. PHIL tackles underlying causes of poor health and in- equalities in health care services to ensure quality health care services. PHIL places special emphasis on working with women to create sustainable social change towards improved health outcomes. Our programs are designed to contribute towards the achievement of the Government of Liberia National Health policy and 10 year health plan (2011-2021) as well as the Millennium Development Goals and post-2015 Development Agenda (MDGs 4,5 and 6).

Involvement in research

Organization involvement in research for health:
PHIL will partner with government , national, international and learning institutions to research public health issues in Liberia and developed appropriate programs to address some of the critical findings from the research. Findings from these research studies will be used to conduct advocacy; lobby and assist in formulating policy to improve the health sector and foster informed decision- making by policy makers.
